About Andrew

Andrew Hall is a graduate of California State University, Stanislaus and currently teaches piano in Oakdale and Tracy. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. At the age of 10, he discovered a passion for music that led him to the piano. His first teacher encouraged him to be creative and urged him to pursue music as a career. In college, he had the privilege of studying with Matthew Baer at San Joaquin Delta College and Dr. Stephen Thomas at CSU Stanislaus. Andrew's music training sparked an ambition to share the joy of music-making with others. Teaching gives him the chance to help students make their own musical discoveries—not simply by learning notes, but by learning how to bring them to life.

When he’s not teaching, helping with children’s theater, or accompanying, he likes to hike in Yosemite, watch movies, and critique music. His favorite composers include Mussorgsky, Resphighi, Shostakovich, and film composer John Williams.
